Medical Whitening
Medical Whitening

Professional whitening refers to treatments performed at a dental clinic, including office whitening conducted in the clinic and home whitening carried out at home under the guidance of a dentist or dental hygienist.

While the materials used may differ, all procedures are performed under the supervision of a dental professional, prioritizing safety.

What is Office Whitening?

Office Whitening

Office whitening is a whitening treatment performed at a dental clinic by a dentist or dental hygienist using specialized equipment.

Unlike whitening toothpastes used at home, which only whiten the surface of the teeth, office whitening breaks down deeply embedded pigments, whitening your teeth from the inside out.

Low-Irritation, Safe, and Highly Effective Whitening Agent

At our clinic, we use Thion, a whitening agent that is low-irritation, safe, and highly effective.

When the gel is applied and exposed to light, electrons are released from V-CAT in the reactor, which then react with the hydrogen peroxide in the gel.
This generates a large number of hydroxyl radicals, efficiently breaking down stains on the teeth.

Office Whitening Procedure

  • ①Examination and Diagnosis

By using a dental microscope, it is possible to observe fine lesions and structures that are difficult to see with the naked eye.
This allows for a more accurate examination, diagnosis, and treatment.

    Examination and Diagnosis

  • ②Oral Examination

    • Check the condition of the teeth
    • Examine the gums (periodontal tissues)
    • Check the bite (occlusion)
    • Observe the oral mucosa, tongue, and overall oral cavity
    • Assess oral hygiene

    Oral Examination

  • ③Cleaning of the Whitening Area

Before applying the whitening agent, plaque and tartar on the tooth surface are removed to ensure that the whitening ingredients can work effectively on the teeth.

  • ④Gum Protection

Apply a protective resin to the gums
Ensure the whitening agent does not come into contact with the gums for a safe procedure

    Gum Protection

  • ⑤Whitening Procedure

Apply a whitening gel of the appropriate concentration to the tooth surface
In office whitening, the gel is activated by light
Light exposure time: 10 minutes × 3 sessions

    Whitening Procedure

  • ⑥Finishing and Application of Mineral Paste

Remove the whitening gel and clean the tooth surface
Apply mineral-reinforcing paste as needed to prevent tooth sensitivity

  • ⑦Aftercare Instructions

For 24 hours after treatment, avoid foods and drinks that easily cause staining
Receive guidance on home care to maintain results
